Exquisite and rare decorative enamel Trinket Box - "Monument to Peter the Great" by Halcyon Days Enamels. Limited Edition #14 of only 60 made. Inspired by an enamelled gold Snuff Box made in Switzerland in 1780. A collection of the State Hermitage Museum. The lid sits tightly on the box but is detached. The outside depicts the Monument to Peter the Great. The inside lid commemorates the Tercentenary of the founding in 1703 of the City of St Petersburg by Peter the Great. Inside the box edge is a depiction of the Hermitage Museum. The box is burgundy with gold tone trim and faux pearl embellishments. Measures approx 2 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/8" tall. Excellent condition - see photos. Comes with original storage box (minor scuffs on corners - see photos).
